Benefits of Window Tinting Auto

Reduces Heat

We all know how hot it can get when a car sits in the sun for an extended period of time. The solar control properties found in automotive window films can greatly reduce the level of heat gain inside a car providing more comfort for the driver and passengers. Additionally, this heat reduction will lead to better fuel efficiency because car owners can rely less on air conditioning to provide comfort.

Reduces Glare

The presence of glare while driving is not only distractive but dangerous as well. Window film does an excellent job at minimizing the level of annoying glare entering a car window. This will improve vision and safety and help prevent strain on the eyes.

Blocks UV Rays

It has been proven that UV rays from the sun can cause serious damage to the skin as well as increase fading on interior car furnishings such as dashboards, seats, floor mats, and stereo equipment. Automotive window films help to reduce the level of interior fading and protect skin by blocking up to 99% of the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Fade Control - UV Filtering Films
What You Need To Know

When most people think about fade control, they think first and foremost about UV (ultra-violet) light.  But did you realize that UV light is only 40% of the problem?  The causes of fading are as follows:

40% Ultra Violet Light 25% Infra Red (Heat) 25% Visible Light 10% Other

This is why perfectly clear films that only block UV light are often not very good choices when your objective is to reduce fading.  Even a film that blocked 100% of the UV light would still leave 60% of the problem unaddressed.  While it's not necessary to make your windows excessively dark to preserve your interior furnishings, reducing the visible light to moderate levels will greatly reduce fading.  Concord offers a very wide selection of films to help you find the perfect "happy medium".

In case you are wondering, the  "Other 10%" consists of things that don't involve your windows.  For instance, light fixtures can emit heat, UV and visible light.  Did you know that the heat from your body when you sit on your sofa can eventually cause fading as well?  The most effective films for fading also block some heat as well as visible light, which are also important factors in fading.

Glare Reducing
What you need to know Glare control is a simple matter of reducing the transmission of visible light.  This is exactly what you are doing when you put on a pair of sunglasses.   Installing Glare Reducing Window Film is like putting sunglasses on your windows.  The darker the film you select, the more light it will block and the more glare it will reduce.
